Grand Piano

Grands are categorized according to their length. Image (A) illustrates the similarity in height and width between a 5-foot baby grand and a 7 foot Steinway Concert Grand. If you don't know the length of your piano, see image B. Pull a tape measure starting from the front of the lid to the edge of the keyboard. The important thing is to measure the entire length of the piano including the keys.

Upright Piano

It is essential to have the dimensions of your piano on hand when requesting a quotation.

  • At least 60 years old
  • At least 49" (124 cm) high
  • Always more than 26” (66 cm) in depth
  • Weighs between 700 to 1000 lbs

  • Less than 60 years old
  • May be lacquered (shiny black / wood) Yamaha, Kawai etc.
  • Between 44" (110cm) and 49" (125 cm) high
  • Always less than 26" (66cm) in depth

  • Relatively short pianos (less than 44" / 110cm )
  • Between 22" (56cm) and 25" (63 cm) in depth
